See how a digital refresh made online giving easier for RMHCCIN and boosted its impact.

Overview
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana (RMHCCIN) needed a digital refresh to enhance their online presence and streamline their donation process. The project aimed to revamp the organization's website and implement a more efficient online giving platform, ultimately improving user experience and increasing online donations.

Challenge
The existing website was outdated, with content scattered across various departments and lacking a cohesive structure. Additionally, the online donation process was cumbersome, leading to a potential loss of contributions from donors who found it difficult to complete their transactions.

Solution
As the project manager and WordPress administrator for RMHCCIN, I led the charge in refreshing the organization’s digital presence. I coordinated with various departments to source the necessary content for their sections of the website, ensuring that everything was well-organized and aligned with the charity's mission. I also sourced relevant photos and provided input on the design to ensure that the website was visually appealing and user-friendly.

I acted as the primary point of contact for the development company responsible for designing and developing the new website, ensuring that the project stayed on track and that any issues were promptly addressed. Additionally, I managed the internal team, assigning tasks based on each member’s expertise to ensure that all aspects of the project were handled efficiently.

In conjunction with the website launch, I researched and selected an updated online giving platform, Classy. This platform enabled RMHCCIN to accept a wider range of online payments, including digital wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, and PayPal. The new system streamlined the donation process, allowing for quicker checkouts and a more seamless user experience.

Results
The refreshed website was successfully launched, providing a more cohesive and visually appealing experience for users. The integration of the Classy platform led to a noticeable increase in online donations, as donors were able to complete their transactions more efficiently. The ability to track donations from different campaigns throughout the year provided valuable insights, allowing RMHCCIN to better understand donor behavior and optimize future fundraising efforts.

Conclusion
The Digital Refresh project at RMHCCIN not only enhanced the organization’s online presence but also improved their fundraising capabilities, ultimately supporting their mission to provide comfort and care to families in need. My role as project manager and WordPress administrator was crucial in ensuring that the project was completed on time and met all objectives.
